It's so good that it makes Pet Sounds stink! Cool Guy

Robby, welcome on this board....

...but don't push your luck here. As Luther said, please take notice of the board's rules.

Well, if we're posting youtube links, look at this television '76 performance of "Good Vibrations" by Brian in a 'sandbox':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ydj86dfm-zA&feature=related

It might be cool to see him playing this song, but talk about not caring. He simplified it to a ridiculous level, playing the chords but the melodic parts are so rudimentary or 'blah' sounding, like a beginner just learning how to play the song. When the chorus comes in at around 1:45, it almost seems like he's about to give up playing the song. He definitely wasn't feeling good vibrations during this performance. He also makes a couple of noticeable mistakes during the song that are pretty jarring. You wonder if it's just him fighting severe depression on air or if he's trying to make some kind of statement by playing one of his most classic songs like that, the song that also happens to be his last great accomplishment before his career collapsed in his eyes.

You just knew if you waited long enough, one day there would be a BB/ Dr Who tie-in didn't you?  Wink

I have a feeling it could go the way of Unleash The Love. Maybe he wants to wait a while so he can redo Help Me Rhonda into a 2009 version. This could be the biggest hurry up and wait job since Ed Macmahon cancelled his tour.

Oh, I think I can top that.  How about setting the entire PS album to rap beats and sub-bass, segueing all the songs together, and then having Snoop Dogg rapping rambling chants over the top of them.  Kinda like he did with the Doors' "Riders on the Storm" (check out YouTube).   LOL

Yes, I do realize I'm going straight to hell for even joking about this!  Evil

Yup.  Speaking of flakey has-beens.  :-)

I think its a board where weird obsessives can obsessively talk about their weird obsession...

Not to say that I personally have one!

It sure does sound like Mike when they say "step on the gas"

I'd be pretty stunned if it turned out to NOT be Mike. Because I am about 99% certain it is.

Asking for info on boots in your first post? Nice work... But you might want to be aware of the rules.
Quote
2) Talking about bootlegs is fine. Posting messages asking for bootlegs or offering bootlegs is not fine. That's what private messages and emails are for.
And most of what you're mentioning isn't even booted (or at least not generally available). Good luck hunting for them.

I wasnt actually thinking about what year it was recorded....If you look at all the B+T projects..Rip chords..etc..solo stuff..Dont Run Away stands out..I may like Hey Little Cobra..3 window Coupe..Summer Means Fun...DRA... Is different than the hits + lame lp BB covers etc...DRA  Sounds Fress + original + maybe a little Pet Sounds influenced..Thats all..
