Does Bruce always wear a hat? [Smiley Smile Message Board]

And if so why? He never looked like going bald.

Wow, he's totally unrecognizable in those beard pictures.

According to Bruce, Mike added his vocals to "Don't Fight The Sea".

Now you have Al, Brian, Mike & Carl singing all 'together' again on something kinda 'fresh' most likely sounding very pre-1965 classic BB vocal blendish........I think it's a cool move and I can't wait to hear it.

I feel proud for having given him impetus to give an official word on that.

I was wondering if anyone else saw that! I was just thinking '73 was a great time musically for the BBs (and I hadn't heard a really good song on that show) that it would be shame if they didn't use any of their music. So it totally made my day when I heard Carl's beautiful voice Grin

Life On Mars....Long Promised Road [Smiley Smile Message Board]

On tonight's segment of Life On Mars, at the very end, Long Promised Road was played. The very, very end of the show. ( A cops show set in the 70s. Actually a detective from today is somehow sent back in time, to the mid 70s )

I was stunned to hear this!

What's the point indeed!  I've been happy with my Linett stereo mix since I first bought it nearly 10 years ago ( I somehow missed out on the boxed set).   And I may go to audiophile hell for saying so, but I am not impressed with every single mastering that Mr. Hoffman has put out.  That's just me, and I don't mean any disrespect to SH.

Pass...

Huge is right! It's the actual, honest-to-God Beach Boys. Man, I'm pleased to be able to say that.

Here are some songs I would support
I Know There's an Answer (not McCaine)
Obama, No
Help Me Ron Paul!
You Still Believe in the Constitution
Games (only) 2 Can Play (Republican/Democrat)
Coke a More (Kokamo) <just kidding

Come on! Make it the new Beach Boys single! It has the potential to be their last great song. Maybe that's what Al had in mind all along - he's always been the most enthusiatic about a hypothetical reunion.

Let's hope the lawyers don't get in the way!  Tongue

Don't Fight the Sea sounds great (from what I heard), they should really go all out with this song...!

Pity Bruce didn't add his vocals - and David.  Once last time...
