Re: brianwilson.com - New TLOS VIdeo [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 05:05 AM CDT By the way, what ever happened to the BW/ Burt Bacharach collaboration I heard about some time ago? What happened to the rock n' roll album BW was talking so much about about a cupla years ago? As for the Rock and roll album, well I'm not too sure anybody knows anything about that, other than the fact that it's probably not going to happen. The Rock 'n' Roll album is Brian's running gag since the 80's when asked what's up next. Now he even gave a title: "'Pleasure Island, A Rock Fantasy' - A real rock recording." http://www.thereminder.com/features/page2feature/brianwilsontoappea/
Re: My complete hardrive photo archive [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 04:59 AM CDT Are you guys talking about my collection? If I understand correctly, yes, I think they (we) do.
Re: The Official BB You Tube Thread [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 03:28 AM CDT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP3_WoUQe84 There's probably something historically significant about this 1996 television appearance. It's nice that it's in the museum of radio and television.

Re: Lowest point in the BB career? [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 02:12 AM CDT Lowest point? I'd have to say when there was one original member left in the group plus one non-original-but-twice-new member and they had the nerve to call themselves "The Beach Boys." I think Mike & Bruce have the right to keep playing as The Beach Boys. It's not like they at one point left the band, started a new one and called it 'The Beach Boys'... They just stayed where they were while the other members left or died one by one.
Re: New: \ [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 01:23 AM CDT Nice song, sounds quite different soundwise to your other stuff for some reason, more direct?, has some more resonance in the bass which seems to give the song more emotion - that sounds pretentious I know! Ear-catching intro and I love the guitar lick (and sound) that comes in around 35 secs. Good lyrics too - I think we've all been there!
Re: My complete hardrive photo archive [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 10 Jul 2008 01:11 AM CDT so no reupload of the harddrive picture collection? ![]() you know, I'd love to give it a shot... if it weren't for my holidays... maybe next week when I'm back home again ...

Re: Lowest point in the BB career? [Smiley Smile Message Board] Posted: 09 Jul 2008 09:36 PM CDT Lowest point? Right after Carl passed away and Al was relieved of his duties. The setlist was not adventurous, and the performances were lackluster. The songs were performed tooooooo slowwwwww. Since that time, the setlist has been improved and lengthened, there have been some significant personnel changes(for the better), David Marks has appeared with the group off and on, and the vocals/performances have gotten stronger. The comeback has begun! ![]()
